Marcia Marie, 1958 - 1969

Born with a clept palette and heart issues Marcia was probably closer to Nanny than would have been usual since they
spent so much time together at hospitals and doctors. I read in one of Nanny's letters home from Detroit that Marcia had
such a hard time when Nanny had to leave that when Nanny was in the room at night, if Marcia awoke Nanny would hide
so that she didn't have to go through that separation thing again.

Nanny loved this shot. I think she had it enlarged and hand-colored.

and vice versa so there was finally a heart breaking wall reached where nothing further could be done.
