gus 1
1940-1,   424 1/2 Hewitt Ave    looks like Halloween?
gus 3
1951, must be 13 years
gus 4
ten years later, January 1961  Could that be Dawn Marie & Patty Lynn?
gus5
on the back: "Cutie, Gus  glad we still have her! our old mailbox... wish we still had it?" No year but the
porch is no longer open and the entry is on the side... in front earlier.
gus 6
Sharon Dollar, on the same spot. Gus' friend, she lived with us for quite awhile, one of the family. The brown leather
jacket kids... I inherited Gus' though I wanted the black multi-zippered style... had to settle.
sharon
out of sequence, this is from 1956, Gus' graduation class trip to D.C.  She's third left of center
gus 7
Gus & Cyril at Nanny & Papa's 50th party in Gus' yard.
gus8
on the back: 50th anniversary 1987... precious, so cute - dancing. Gus came out of the house & just like that, they
started to dance, perfect time... it was so special.
gus9
a jump to about 2014, in Patty Lynn's back yard (adjacent to Gus' backyard).

gus
Gus' neighborhood friend Clarice Longtine. A good glimspe also of the neighborhood to the north at Mesnard st.
Barbara & Ray Nevela lived in the house above Clarice until Ray died in 1990 or so.
gus
Gus with O'Donnell's house behind her. He was an unfortunate, outrageous alcoholic, often seen staggering
up Craig st. coming home. He once came in our house so drunk he didn't know he was in the wrong house.
He ordered Patty & I to get him glasses. He & his buddy commenced to drink when suddenly his wife
showed up and drove them outside with a broom. Looks like 1962 but that doesn't seem right.
gus

Don't know who Gus' friend is here.

gus
Francine Longtine lived across the street from us.
gus
Gus' bo for a few years, Cyril Van Able. She later dated an old high school flame & then decided she didn't have time
for that foolishness.
gus
You can probably find her yourself
gus
Gus with Lady, our (my) dog who we think was poisoned. Nanny told me one morning, "Go down
and see about Lady, I heard her coming up the basement steps last night." She was cold and stiff
and it broke my heart. I don't remember her having pups.
gus
very early... and hand colored. Extra cheeks.
